Facebook Messenger is an application and instant messaging platform by Meta. You can connect Messenger to your online school website to receive messages from new customers.
What you need to install Facebook Messenger on your website:
- a Facebook business page
- Facebook chat widget code
- Google Tag Manager
- Wizzylab “Basic” subscription
1.Creating a Facebook page
Creating a business page is easy if you don’t have one yet:
- Log in to your Facebook account
- Click the menu icon in the top right corner
- In the “Create” section on the right, select “Page”
- Enter the page name
2. Generating the chat widget code in Meta Business Suite
- Go to Meta Business Suite
- Open the “Inbox” section in the left menu
- Click “Settings” (gear icon) in the top right corner, then select “View all settings”
- In the window that opens, go to the “Chat plugin” tab
Here, click “Set up”, then choose “Standard” and complete 3 simple steps. At the end, you will receive the chat code that needs to be copied.
3. Adding Messenger to your website
To add the Messenger widget, you will need Google Tag Manager.
- Go to tagmanager.google.com
- Open the “Tags” section in the right menu and click “Create”
- In the “Tag Configuration” block, click the pencil icon and paste the widget code from step 2
- In the “Triggers” block, click the pencil icon and select All Pages
- Click “Save” and then “Submit”
Finally, in the Wizzylab admin panel, go to the “Laboratory” section and check whether the “Tag Manager” option is enabled.

Now a Facebook Messenger chat icon will appear on your online school website.
